I'm Ladie L. Knight- Milewski. I’m a UX/UI Designer & Shopify
E-commerce Manager at Keeco. I am a continual learner who also dabbles in code. I like puzzles & problem solving, which is why I also love learning new software programs. I am based in Palm Beach County, South Florida, but I work with teams both domestic and internationally.
I hail from the world of Fashion Design and I have traveled extensively overseas. I love observing People, the Human Psyche - ie: what makes us tick -do-buy-etc. My passions are Cooking + being a Foodie, Wine, Travel, Technology, Fashion, Textiles, Painting, Sewing, Yoga, Growing Plants, DIY Home Renovations, my Dachshund, and Fun in the Sun!!!
Career Goals
To continue to lead, grow, and evolve. To always work toward better Product Design, User Centered Design, and the incorporation of AI + Design processes & product enhancements into our work.
Leadership
I enjoy leading projects and teams, building relationships, cross functional collaborations, and managing products from ideation to production. I like to problem solve and find solutions with the resources we have and helping to train or skill-up others on the team.
As a Manager, I am hands on and I lead by example, but I trust that persons will own what is delegated to them to complete. I like diversity and try to build on peoples strengths within the team. I find all people to be capable and that we all have extra skills & talents beyond our primary job role. Everyone is of value.
Strengths
My strengths extend into Operations and Project Management.
I am strong in Design and Strategy, but also great with Analytics - data extraction & data visualization. Other Designers can also be good Motion Designers or perhaps lean more into Design Systems, Prototyping, Visual Design, Branding, or Digital Marketing. All are important when establishing a Design team and most important, for me, is the Developer partnership for execution and working with cross functional teams for clear communication to upper management and speed to market.
Continual Learner
The more I learn about coding and Front End Development the stronger Product & UX/UI Designer I become. I am passionate about creating usable digital products & design systems. Over the past 4 years, I have also gained more insight into Digital Marketing, Affiliates, SEO, SERP, CRO testing, and more for E-commerce by working closely with the Sr. E-commerce Manager - Digital Marketing. I am fortunate to have had some excellent female mentors to help guide me in my career & skills growth.
Design + Business
At my core I'm an Artist and I love Design and how our society uses what we use and by observing consumer purchasing behaviors. My current boss, Sr. Director of E-commerce & Digital Marketing, has exposed me more to the C-Suite and leadership team circle and how it is imperative to be bottom line oriented, as well as aligned to business goals and changes, in order to be successful. My experience in designing and launching products is end to end.
